One stamped & tested sterling Silver lady's die struck & assembled antique evening purse with a hand engraved finish. The purse measures 3 1/2" tall, and 2 7/8" wide. The 2 sides when closed are 3/4" thick. There are 2 leather inserts in the halves, one for coins, and one for papers. The purse has a spring button closure. The hand chain is 14" long. The piece is circa 1890's. Identified with markings of "STERLING 740". Condition is very good.
